Her lifelong research in the academic space was driven by her personal experiences in and with leadership.

Today’s leaders across industries are faced with identifying avenues through which they can provide clarity and a better understanding of how everyone’s work aligns with the organization’s cultural goals.  One essential way is through strategic storytelling.  This conversational approach allows the leader to capture the heart, mind, and emotions of the individuals on their teams.  For leaders, this technique requires a new mindset, which included the ability AND willingness to authentic and vulnerable to create a narrative about hope, failures, recovery, possibility, and resiliency.  Effective and intentional storytelling can be transformative in personal and professional spaces.  She’s leveraged these learnings into coaching leaders.

Her education is from Delaware State University and Wilmington University. She is a current Adjunct Professor at Wilmington University, focusing on leadership, entrepreneurship, and innovation.  She also sits on the board of the College of Business at Delaware State University and Las Americas Aspira Academy in Delaware.

She currently resides in Delaware. She has a travel bug (domestic and international), spends a lot of time in a dojo watching her grandson break boards, always the first one on the dance floor, and a never-ending learner about different cultures and human behaviors. â€‹
